On Monday 9 February 2026, Managing Director of Wareing Buildings, Christopher Wareing, attended King Charles III’s visit to Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, where His Majesty officially opened the Lancashire family cheesemaker’s new state-of-the-art factory.
Christopher was proud to join Gillian, Matthew and Daniel as they welcomed The King and gave him a tour of the facility.
Following the devastating loss of their previous factory to fire, it is remarkable to see fourth-generation Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses return stronger than ever, now operating from a brand-new, single-site facility. This achievement is a true testament to their resilience and determination.
The owners and their staff worked tirelessly to keep the business afloat during an incredibly challenging period and now look ahead to a bright and secure future for generations to come.
Wareing Buildings played a key role in the project, working alongside several local Lancashire businesses, all of whom were instrumental in bringing Butlers’ vision to life.
Christopher was honoured to meet The King and speak with him briefly. During their conversation, he explained that, like Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, Wareing Buildings is a fifth-generation company that relies heavily on its hardworking and dedicated staff, who put in long hours both in the workshop and on site to successfully deliver not only this project, but all customer projects on time.
