Livestock building, 41.5m long, 19.6m wide, 4.9m high to eaves. Canopy one side 3m wide, to cover feed fence. The new building is an extension to one end of an existing Wareing building. Roof clad in PVC coated box profile steel sheets. Vertical cladding in “Ventair” box profile sheets.

The side with the canopy has a main pillar omitted, to improve efficiency of access into the building, note the large beam spanning the gap and additional bracing in the roof to spread the loading to the other pillars.

Primarily to be used for livestock housing, mostly sheep, but also cattle. One side and one end has pre-stressed concrete thrust wall panels, so that it can be used as a temporary grain store. The “Ventair” sheeting provides air-flow through the building to improve animal health, whilst restricting rainwater ingress and reducing the risk of condensation. Using thicker concrete panels around the sides, means that the building can be used as a temporary grain store during the summer, increasing profitability and aiding farm management.
