Barrow, South Lakes

Livestock and machinery building on a small holding, 6.1m long, 5.5m wide, 3.0m high to eaves. The roof was designed to oversail the ends and sides, to form a “Shadow-line”. The roof is clad in Profile 6 fibre cement, supplied by Marley Eternit. The roof has a factory applied colour coating to satisfy the Lake District Planning Board. The vertical cladding is PVC coated box profile steel sheets, supplied by A Steadman & Son.

The front gable end of the building has a pair of timber sliding doors. The doors were made and fitted by our joinery department, in softwood. All door furniture is heavy duty and galvanised.

The building is primarily to be used for secure storage of machinery, but also for housing sheep at lambing time.
